WHAT I BELIEVE

First, let me state what I primarily Believe, what I simply trust in ....no more, ...no less
....that Christ Died for Our Sins
according to the scriptures
...and that He was Buried, and that He Rose Again the Third Day
according to the scriptures
This is what is referred to and known as the "GOOD NEWS"
DO YOU BELIEVE IT?
I know what you're thinking ....what about the "rest" of it? Well, maybe there's a few other things you have to understand:
- Who is Christ? The context in scripture is referring to none other than Jesus Christ. God Himself in the Flesh. "Emmanuel" (God With Us). Born of a virgin ...the "only begotten" Son of God. That means there isn't "more than one". He's the only one.
- Our Sins? ...He died for all sin, transgression and imperfection, for not just you, but for everyone who's ever lived ....all humanity. He was the ultimate "perfect" blood sacrifice, once ...and for all time. He said with his last breaths "It Is FINISHED". Never to be repeated.
- Rose from the Dead? ...Yes, bodily and physically. Where is He now? ...back on His throne in heaven, and before He left, He promised He would be coming back.
- Jesus made the Following Statement, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".

Everyone has a "belief" in something (a god, a philosophy, scientism, an ideology, etc.), along with it's corresponding doctrine or way-of-thought, and ultimately affects your decisions, what you think, and what you do in life. Everyone has the "freedom" to choose what they want to believe. From my standpoint, it's your God-given right, and He gives everyone that freedom and choice, to freely choose and Love Him. The Creator never wanted a bunch of "robots". Freedom is a gift too you know, ...but love and acceptance are a "choice".
Everyone and everything has a "purpose" ...and a means to an end, and
you always have the freedom to believe what you want or choose to. No one can ever take that away from you.

The Creator, while on this Earth as one of us, made the following statement and warning. It's for "Everyone".....
"Take heed that no one DECEIVE YOU".
....and there's a crap-ton of it out there
a veritable "Rabbit Hole" with all kinds of roads, pathways and multi-lane highways that never seem to end
I'm not a stranger to all this. I'm a very well-researched anal-perfectionist and a skeptic.
However, I've also seen and witnessed too much in my life, ...on both sides of the fence.
For myself, I choose to believe the simplicity of what is called the "Good News", the evidence of my own eyes, senses, simplicity, research, the consistency & consilience of the scriptural & historical record, and what my heart and conscience tell me. Could it be that, maybe ...the true 'intelligent designer' of all things has already revealed Himself, who He really is, and has already come as scripture has declared, ...as one of us for a specific purpose, ...now fulfilled?

I'm not sure why so many people hate God and Jesus, but I can probably understand why many of them do. Both God and Jesus have been so grossly misunderstood or misrepresented by all kinds of people, by all kinds of media, and by literally every so-called church, denomination, and world view in current times and throughout most of history.
...and if you are an unfortunate soul that has had your spirit "CRUSHED" by any of it, or just a victim of a really bad hand-out or by the circumstances you've experienced in this life ....I get it. I understand and can relate, because I've been there. I was damaged and destroyed by "religion" and a false conception of who God really is. I didn't necessarily stop believing in God, but I ran from Him. I didn't even want to "think" about Him. Since then, I guess you could say I've had three "wake up calls" in my life, and devastated by the realization of how far the depths of absolute evil actually reach, occur, and go to in this world ....there are no words to describe it.
....so in final conclusion....
Just what is ...."Eternal Life"?
This much I have learned, and it took a lifetime...
Eternal Life is not a PLACE, a destination, or location,
or about constantly trying to live-up to any moral 'code' or standard.
and
It's not about climbing some "Stairway to Heaven"
...or about self-awakening, ascending, or about forbidden knowledge, or about gaining control or power,
or figuring-out how to become "better" or even "immortal"
on our own.
God's standard is "Perfection", and He says that ...no one that's ever lived ...has ever been or ever will be "good" enough or meet-the-mark.
...it's why God had to come down here and take care of the problem "Himself".
Scripture says ....Eternal Life is a FREE GIFT to all mankind from God Himself, for all those who "Believe on His Name". (1 John 5:13)
That name is.....
Jesus Christ (Greek) ......Yeshua Hamashiach (Hebrew)
....and none of this isn't going to make any sense to you until you actually understand and believe, that....
.... Jesus "is" God Himself
...who came as a human into this physical realm and took away all the transgressions and sin of the world.
Remember, scripture tells us "why" He was sentenced to death. It was because, when questioned if He was the Messiah, he stated...
"I AM"
Our Creator fixed the problem with His own blood-sacrifice on the cross, wiped the slate clean, and freely offers Eternal Life to everyone who recognizes their need for what He's done for them and all of humanity, and simply "believes and accepts" it for themselves.
....it's for everyone.
It's a FREE GIFT. ...and all you have to do is receive and accept it, ...by "BELIEVING" it.
It's that simple. That's WHY it's GOOD NEWS! ....and you don't change it, 'edit' it, or "add" anything to it
(....like the way most modern religions, churches, and ministries do)
...but it wasn't simple for God. He had to go through it, and endure it (as one of us) until the very end. But He accomplished it.
He made the payment. With his last breaths, He said, "Tetelestai" (τετελεσται)
"It is Finished"
(John 19:30)
...a more thorough breakdown of the meaning of this word is "Debt Paid In Full" or "Judgement Fully Served".
now here's the clincher. Immediately after He said this (and died), the following natural phenomena occurred....
- A great earthquake took place. (scripture & secular history) ...and...
- The "4 inch"-thick 60x30 Ft. Veil weighing 60,000 pounds separating the Inner-court from the Holy of Holies in the Jewish temple somehow miraculous completely tore in half, starting from its "Top" and all the way through to the bottom. (scripture & secular history)
'Prior' to Him saying this....
- Jerusalem underwent darkness that covered the land that lasted for 3 hours, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. (scripture & secular history)
...and the BIG one. The "fulfillment" of....
Over 300 scriptural prophecies from over thousands of years
...written by multiple men of God and God's prophets , including the very first one made by God Himself in the Garden over 6,000 years ago, along with celestial signs and symbology, all directly point to only ONE man, who already came, showed us who He was, fulfilled his Mission (the main reason He came), to give His life willingly as the 'Lamb of God' who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)
He was literally "Pre-Announced" in detail for over a period of 4,000 years before He entered this world.
...and Jesus fulfilled those prophecies during the time He was here....
....including 29 of them in one day
...including the most important one, something that only God Himself could do.....
RESURRECT BODILY, PHYSICALLY FROM DEATH
...by the way, the statistical odds of one man fulfilling just eight (8) of the major prophecies is
1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000
....definitely something to take into consideration, ...and think about....
